Petra Dorst born in 1976, has had a strong motivation to create a dream world around herself, ever since her childhood. Today, you can still find that in her artwork. “You don't make art… it arises from within.”

Petra says

You don't become an artist; you are an artist because you have no other choice. It’s as if the urge to create comes from deep within the unconsciousness. It is always present; Creating is like breathing!

That art is emotion

Is reflected in the various series she has designed. The series “Stillness”, is a counterpart to the “Tender Animals”. 

And the series “Tenderness” with its abstract shapes, is the opposite of the first 2 series? But in all series is the emotion and warmth that art should radiate.
